My love for fishing started with the joy of teaching a certain young daughter how to fish, now CJ has become the master.

What started out just being a hobby in developing fishing tackle has turned out to be an opportunity of a life time for me and the Synit Team. We have gained credibility as being leaders in the field of Soft Bait tackle and rod engineering in New Zealand.

I have a degree in design engineering which has helped me immensely when it comes to tackle design.

I worked for many years as an Engineer in the Dairy Industry, moved into Contract management as a Procurement Specialist for New Zealand Steel. In the past three years I have fished nothing but Soft Baits, and have never caught so many fish. Early in 2007 I made a commitment to follow my passion of working in an industry I have become to love, to design and engineer the best Soft Bait tackle in New Zealand for Kiwi’s and Kiwi conditions and along with my good friend and business partner “Tiny” catch some fish, build some rods, and make a little money from the things we do best.
